20/02/2014 - Suzuki GB's official eBay stores open for business
Launch of Suzuki’s first official eBay stores.
Individual online UK stores for cars and motorbikes, offering genuine Suzuki parts, accessories and merchandise.
Thousands of items on offer, covering current and older models and also classic Suzuki motorcycle models.
Orders fulfilled by Suzuki’s UK franchised dealer network – a Global first for Suzuki and for eBay.
Suzuki GB PLC has opened up a major new UK sales channel with the launch of its first official eBay stores. The two online shops offer a quick, easy and secure way to purchase a great range of genuine Suzuki parts, accessories and merchandise.
Dedicated stores have been set up for cars (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Suzuki-Cars-UK-Official) and motorcycles (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Suzuki-Bikes-UK-Official) offering instant access to thousands of popular items, from brake parts and spark plugs to alloy wheels, body styling elements and the latest Suzuki branded clothing.
The home pages for each store have been designed for easy navigation, using the familiar clear and colourful brand visuals featured on Suzuki UK’s official websites.
The range of parts covers not only current Suzuki cars and motorcycles, but also a good range of older and classic motorcycle models, too. The inventory is updated with new listings every day and every item has been accurately photographed in Suzuki’s own studio.
Customers can be assured that all items are genuine and are offered at the same retail price as they would find at a Suzuki dealership. All sales are backed by Suzuki GB technical support and are offered with free post and packing as well as a 14-day returns policy.
The stores are being officially launched following the success of a pilot programme that was initiated last November. Further enhancements will follow as the sites become established and customer traffic increases.
Emma Gibbon, Head of E-commerce at Suzuki comments: “The new eBay stores are an excellent way for us to reach even more customers without compromising the parts and accessories business of our dealer network. All purchases from the online stores will be fulfilled by our franchised dealers, a system that is a notable first for both Suzuki and for eBay.
“Working with eBay, we are making it easier for customers to source genuine Suzuki parts and accessories, with peace of mind and guaranteed quality and value.”
Speaking on behalf of eBay, Patrick Munden commented: "We are delighted to be partnering with Suzuki to be offering a convenient new shopping option for the 18 million customers who visit eBay each month in the UK. We partner, never compete, and offer leading brands like Suzuki the opportunity to curate their own shop window on eBay, remaining in control of their customers' experience at all times."
